From 6 to 12 September 2026, New Spirit Dakhla hosts a wingfoil week organised with KBC on the western shore of the lagoon. The offer includes six days of lessons, up to four hours of daily training, the practice equipment and a lycra. Participants are capped at twelve, with an announced maximum of six students per instructor. The stated teaching language is English. The published sports price is 749 euros. What makes the New Spirit spot interesting

The centre sits right at the water's edge, which cuts daily transfers and lets you watch the conditions before gearing up. The western shore offers a different perspective from the centres opposite; the water and the wind strength nevertheless vary with the tide and the hour. An instructor should pick the area suited to the group's level. Beginners will benefit from stable equipment and progressive exercises, while flying riders can work on transitions. Do not head off alone to explore a distant sector simply because the lagoon looks flat from the beach.

What the lessons include

KBC announces F-ONE wings, boards and foils, plus a vest and a helmet. Centre usage fees are also part of the package. Still, ask how the slots are organised when a group mixes beginners and intermediates, and how much time each participant really gets with the equipment. Check the insurance terms in case of an impact on the foil or the board. If you bring your own wetsuit, choose it for comfort over several days. A pair of booties can protect your feet during the phases spent walking with a bulky board.

Plan B when the wind won't let you fly

The programme provides alternatives when the wind is too light or above 25 knots: theory, paddle, physical training, equipment discovery and self-rescue. These activities replace the session and do not entitle you to a voucher. Use these moments to understand the foil settings or review the right-of-way rules, often neglected when everyone wants to rush onto the water.
